Standing in Solidarity

First published on: 3rd June 2020

The Anglican mission agency United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG) announced today that it is launching a new campaign, STANDING IN SOLIDARITY, in response to recent events in the USA following the death in police custody of George Floyd, an African American man.

USPG’s General Secretary the Rev’d Duncan Dormor has teamed up with fellow Mission Heads to publish an open letter in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. USPG seeks to champion oppressed people and fight against injustice. This new campaign is another means by which USPG lives out its commitment to justice and reconciliation.

George Floyd’s death has sparked off an intense debate about racism – not just that suffered by black Americans but also by people of colour in other parts of the world.

Join USPG in standing in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and all peaceful anti-racism campaigners worldwide. Download our printable poster to place in your windows, and show your support.
