Scottish Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church was the established Church of Scotland after the Reformation in the 16th century. It was disestablished and replaced in that role by the Presbyterian Church in 1689. The SEC has historic links to The Episcopal Church in the United States:it consecrated the first bishop of the American Church in Aberdeen in 1794. The province now comprises seven dioceses.
