For such a time as this

Lent 2021

USPG Lent Appeal

USPG’s Lent Appeal this year recognises the challenges that the world is currently facing, as this Lent we focus on standing in solidarity with the younger generation in the fight against climate change. For Such A Time As This will support the Green Schools programme run by our long-standing partners, the Church of South India, through the provision of educational materials and teacher training. At the same time, USPG will be running a Lent study course on the theme of ecological justice, with contributions from our partner churches from across the Anglican Communion.

USPG Lent Course

The world is in crisis; Creation is groaning. People and the Earth have been crying out for many years. But for too long, many people - particularly those in the global North - have chosen not to listen, instead remaining complicit in destruction and continuing to increase inequalities. In such a time as this, what have Christians got to offer? Discover more in our Lent Course.

USPG Climate Sunday

USPG's Climate Sunday is on 21st February. There will be a range of resources that will be made available for churches including a Sunday sermon from the The Revd Shuba Keerthana from the Church of South India.

Liturgical resources for Climate Sunday are now available on this page
